Default Unique Drops

I have a few questions about the unique weapons and items found on GW:

Crystaline Sword: Cool looking, but why? Damage is very low.

Icy Dragon Sword: Were these always here or did they just show up recently?

Terror Shield: Doesn't exist, right?

Serpent Axe: See Icy Dragon Sword.

Fiery Dragon Sword: Has anyone ever gotten a max damage one? All the ones I get, even with good mods, are 14-21

55 Monk Offhand: Why is the price 10k? You get it from a quest, for pete's sake.

55 Monk Offhand: People are stupid/lazy

Crystaline Sword: I was under the impression you can get it with perfect stats

Icy Dragon Sword: They showed up with the Christmas events, but might have been around beforehand.. who bothered going into that cave before anyway?

Terror Shield: apparently, doesn't exist

Fiery Dragon Sword: Yes, definatly comes in max damage, and often enough with perfect stats.

Crystaline swords exist just like any other swords. The only reason you haven't seen one of any value is most likely due to their rarity. They are so rare even a non-maxed one is worth something to somebody as a status symbol. And supposedly a perfect max Crystaline is so rare that people are welling to pay hundreds if not millions of plat for one. Too bad my quest "Crystaline" long sword does not have the Crystaline skin anymore after the Factions Preview update. I actually like the "bonuses" on that sword and use it. :P

I'm not sure if I've ever seen a "serpent" axe. Lots of people hawking "sephis" axe though... I had one of those w/low req. not max but very nice mods. Too bad it expert salvaged into wood planks. >< Of course, my consolatin prize, the Razorstone, has the sephis axe skin which was what prompted me to even think about salvaging the gold axe for mods in the first place.

FDS definitely exist in any/many of the max damage form w/good bonuses. Ask any griffon farmers as they tend to drop the better (gold) ones. Just remember you cant modify the fiery hilt with any other hilt and if you ever want a fiery hilt you can get one from it, possibly, 1 out of 2 or 3 chances.

IDS existed before the Wintersday update. It was popularized during the Wintersday so there were lots of misconception of attempts at connecting it to the Wintersday event for profit movtive, most likely, as in, it will stop dropping after the Wintersday so you better buy it for 75k (as opposed to it going for 25k or less now).

You should try and get one, even non-max, as they are quite pretty. My W got a 4-6 dam one in Ascalon and every so often I'll just equip it on him just for vanity. I keep telling myself I should sell it to free up some space, but I just luv their look.

The serpent axe ... often affectionately (and sometimes not-so-much) referred to as the "Boot On a Stick".

Also check out the rest of that site, has nice category for different types of weapons and their skins. Happy hunting!

Some of the green items are hard to get. Like Bortak's items, rago and others. Is it me, or SF is now giving out small amount of green drops? I been there after the new tomb were released thinking that i can get some decent drops, nothing came up.

Crystaline Sword: rare but ugly[imo](at max damage and with dmg mods)

conclusion = human elitism

Icy Dragon Sword: right before christmas...rather crappy(cept for ver specific places)(some call them "noob" markers)

Terror Shield: gennerally excepted as a scam

Serpent Axe: second rarest axe skin(behind dwarven) see crystaline

Fiery Dragon Sword: exists at max and with %dmg mods...see second part of IDS

55 Monk Offhand: human stupidity/laziness
